Martin Beresford, Breda

Three days of March

Three days of March of juvenile sun.
Of nudging wind, of gnawing rain and intimate drizzle at tearful clothes.
Of fleeting rays through skidding clouds neath infinite blue of endless skies.
Of oppressive grey.
Of slapping waves on profligate sand, of musky soil with
minty green and olive green and emerald green and hooker’s green.
Of crimson buds on clawing shrubs
Of pristine grass and pure canvas
Of lost brushes, of willful paint, of blunt pencils and fading light.
Of blurred eyes and frigid hands
Of swept face
And sleepful night.

Een expositie van Plein Air studies die Martin Beresford op
5, 6 en 7 maart heeft gemaakt op Schiermonnikoog.
Geboren en getogen in Coventry, Engeland, woont hij
nu in Nederland waar hij Schiermonnikoog
regelmatig bezoekt.
